ALPI@WANTED DESIGN 2018

WantedDesign Manhattan
Terminal Stores - 269 11th Avenue, New York City
19 – 22 May 2018

The collaboration between ALPI and Wanted Design continues this year: the company is a partner in the new Wanted Interiors installation project created by interior design students from the Rochester Institute of Technology coordinated by Mary Golden, inside the Terminal Stores Building. The project recreates a detailed, refined living space inspired by Italian modernism with a display of furnishings combined with an experience of augmented reality that reawakens the curiosity of visitors, searching for a dynamic decorative aesthetic. For the Wanted Interiors installation, the choice has gone to the ALPI Sottsass wood in the color gray to clad the walls of the spaces that reproduces the pattern designed by Ettore Sottsass characterized for its accentuation of the grain to bring out the vivid colors of the wood, linking back to the unusual juxtapositions typical of the language of the designer.
