RE – CONNECTION | Martino Gamper X ALPI

Re – Connection brought together the unique design approaches of Ettore Sottsass and Martino Gamper to ALPI materials. Three unique pieces made by Martino Gamper reinterpreting the iconic wood designed in the ‘80s by Ettore Sottsass for ALPI. A hanging library, a cabinet and a screen so that I could create a space.

“I took a direct approach- cutting that block on various angles so that when it was shaved into veneer form, the grain was distorted in 3 different ways. [...] Cutting the already distorted veneers on sharp angles to make super 3D forms that manipulate perspective." Martino Gamper
